Aaron Hansen Nominated for 2025 NAHB Associate of the Year

Aaron Hansen, Vice President of Sioux Falls Insurance, has been nominated for the 2025 National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Associate of the Year Award. This prestigious national recognition is reserved for associate members who have demonstrated exceptional service and outstanding contributions to the home building industry at the local, state, and national levels.

As a key player within the South Dakota Home Builders Association, Aaron consistently works to advance the association’s mission. Through advocacy, industry engagement, and relationship-building, he helps ensure the voice of home builders is represented at the state and national levels.

Eric Meyer, President of Meyer Insurance, praised his dedication to the industry and the association.

“Aaron is extremely involved with the South Dakota Home Builders Association and is a tireless advocate for the industry,” Meyer said. “He regularly represents members at state and national meetings, and he does so with professionalism and enthusiasm. We are incredibly proud to see his work recognized on a national stage.”

Aaron states, “My involvement through NAHB is one way I can give back to an industry I work closely with every day.”

This meaningful nomination recognizes Aaron’s contributions as a member of the task force working to introduce the national nonprofit Be Pro Be Proud Mobile Workforce Workshop to South Dakota schools and youth events. The Workshop serves as a gateway for teens to explore technical professions in skilled trades, though VR headsets and simulators, which are essential to powering South Dakota’s economy.”

The winners and nominees of the 2025 awards were honored Tuesday, February 17, at the International Builders’ Show in Orlando, Florida.

The National Association of Home Builders is a Washington, D.C.–based trade association that promotes policies to make housing a national priority. Since 1942, NAHB has served its members, the housing industry, and the public at large.
